Working with Janet, the University of Cardiff, the University of Bristol and Glasgow University, The Digital Design Studio of The Glasgow School of Art has been engaged in demonstration activities to showcase Ultra High definition technologies. Ultra High Definition is the next generation of high fidelity digital media, most usually associated with the entertainment industry and recently enjoyed over large screens in the 2012 Olympics. This presentation will show how this technology is now being introduced into the fields of medicine, enabling collaborations across high-speed networks and also in the delivery of UHD heritage visualisations for educational and analysis purposes. It will give you the opportunity to see first-hand how this technology is making a real difference in the presentation and analysis of highly complex and highly visual datasets generated as part of the DDS's partnership working with Historic Scotland in a World Heritage Site documentation programme known as the Scottish 10
